RELAX AND RECHARGE YOUR BATTERIES ! Welcome to our cozy, family-run mountain farm in Ramsau. We are located at the highest point of the alpine road (900 m) in one of the sunniest high locations with a fantastic view of the Ramsau Alps. Nestled in meadows, forests and endless natural beauty, you can really relax and take a deep breath with us. From us you have the best possibilities for hiking (to nearby alpine pastures and mountain peaks) or for numerous excursions (Berchtesgaden, Königssee, Bad Reichenhall) and much more. Cows, calves and two goats live with us on our farm and for children there is a large playground.Environment description
The immediate surroundings of our house offer a wealth of worthwhile excursion and hiking destinations such as: - The Königssee with the peninsula St. Bartholomä - Kehlstein and Kehlsteinhaus - The Soleleitungssteg - "Balcony of God" This wonderful hiking trail high above the valley with fantastic views and almost no incline leads you in medium altitude along the Ramsau valley.About the host
The Kaltbachlehen has been around for over 600 years and we have been doing dairy farming on our farm as a sideline for many generations. Today we, Wasti and Veronika Maltan, together with our parents, run our family farm with much love and commitment. Our cows spend their summer vacations from mid-June to mid-September on our mountain pasture in Kallbrunn. Fresh milk is therefore available from mid-September to mid-June. Directly behind our house, however, is an open pasture area where you can see cows throughout the summer. Besides the cows and calves we also have some goats, pigs and very dear rabbits on our farm.terms/extras
