Environment description

Marktschellenberg is located between Berchtesgaden and Salzburg and is the ideal starting point for excursions and hikes in the Berchtesgadener and Salzburger Land. Excursion destinations such as the Berchtesgaden salt mine, the Almbachklamm gorge, the Kugelmühle mill, the Schellenberg ice cave and the heated outdoor swimming pool are in the immediate vicinity. The Mozart city of Salzburg is only a few kilometers away and can also be reached by bus from Marktschellenberg.

Freeway Munich-Salzburg A8 over border Walserberg (freeway vignette required!), direction Graz-Villach, 1st exit Salzburg Süd - Berchtesgaden, continue direction Marktschellenberg/Berchtesgaden, in the center of Marktschellenberg at the church turn right over the bridge, after about 100 m follow the signpost to Ettenberg on the left, exactly 3 km, 4th yard in a sharp left turn.
